"This is Audrey, she's french"

Whilst I find it hard to introduce myself, everyone else has a very similar way to do it for me:

"Have you met Audrey? she's French"

About 90% of the time my nationality comes straight after my name, like it defines me as a person. Now don't get me wrong, I am not ashamed of where I come from and to be honest I can sometimes sense a bit of pride in that statement (especially from the boyfriend); but as soon as I walk in the room with my ginger hair and bright clothes I hear "You look so french today!". Nope. Nah. Not having it. NON!Let me get this straight, I come from the countryside where people are pretty close minded when it comes to fashion and its only in England I started developping my very own style! I would like to see their face if i'd go back dressed "oh so french". I mean..it would not be pretty! Orange hair, piercings, tattoos, all bright errthang! That would get me some awkward stares! Some might even throw rocks at me and call me a witch...Ok, maybe not...

Point is: my style is NOT french, people!

So thats as far as my presentation post will get:

"Hi, Im Audrey...and I'm french"
